Senior Environmental Advisor
Environmental assessment and management is a critical part of our land development process. Renewal SA own and manage a range of land assets across South Australia, many of which are significantly contaminated. The Environmental Services team conduct assessments internally, as well as managing a range of specialist contractors, to assess and remediate our sites so they can be used to create the best social and economic outcomes for South Australia.
The role of Senior Environmental Advisor is being offered on a 3-year contract and offers flexibility for working days/hours.
This is a role where you will be able to use your technical skills as well as your project management, administration, and reporting skills. You will have the opportunity to work across a range of specialist areas, including general site contamination, significant trees, biodiversity, asbestos, groundwater, soil vapour and civil works. You will also have the benefit of working alongside a number of highly experienced Environmental Management professionals.
Who we are looking for
We want someone who can bring a depth of experience and knowledge to our small team who can provide high level project management skills, to effectively manage multi faceted, complex and sensitive projects and deal with competing tensions including budgets, timeframes and stakeholders.
You are a tertiary qualified Environmental Scientist or Environmental Engineer who is looking to contribute to major projects for South Australia using your strong technical skills and knowledge. You will be responsible for providing professional independent environmental and contamination advice on complex issues to ensure the appropriate management of the risk to Renewal SA assets and major projects. Responsible for delivery of expert professional independent services and advice to both internal and external stakeholders.
Highly developed discipline knowledge and experience in advising on the issues, risks, trends and directions associated with Renewal SA’s projects including developing innovative solutions and implementing changes whilst mitigating risk is essential.
