About the role
Renewal SA is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Development Manager to support the delivery of urban development projects that are shaping the future of South Australia. In this role, you’ll coordinate the early stages of opportunity development, support the management of project delivery, and assist with property and development transactions to ensure project and commercial outcomes are achieved.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate early-stage project activities including planning, feasibility analysis, and due diligence.
- Support the negotiation, coordination, and delivery of property and development transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, and development agreements.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and risks, and contribute to high-level reporting and performance tracking.
- Assist with the management of projects from concept through to completion, ensuring delivery aligns with organisational goals and KPIs.
- Liaise and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to support successful delivery of key development outcomes.
- Manage relationships with consultants and contractors to ensure quality project support and delivery.
About you
We’re looking for a motivated self-starter with a passion for urban renewal and development. You will have a strong ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment, while building trusted relationships across a broad stakeholder group.
You will bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Property, Development, Planning, Land Economics or a related field.
- Experience supporting development projects and property transactions in a government or commercial setting.
- Knowledge of development agreements, land tenure, or commercial negotiation is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a focus on outcomes and quality.
