Principal Procurement Manager
Due to expanding our team at Renewal SA, we have a great opportunity for a Principal Procurement Manager for an initial three-year contract.
Reporting directly to the Manager, Procurement and Contract Management activities to ensure value for money is realised, contracts deliver the required outcomes, and risks are appropriately managed across Renewal SA through the procurement process.
Who we are looking for
Working in this relationships-focused role, you will be responsible for the provision of expert advice and services in relation to best practice procurement and contract management processes. You will ensure processes are compliant with both statutory regulations and Renewal SA requirements, and will undertake risk assessments to establish mitigation strategies and controls. Lead and supervise a team to ensure efficiency and best procurement practice is maintained.
You will act as a change agent by implementing continuous improvement initiatives and strategies, including researching and recommending appropriate procurement and contracting solutions and developing and reviewing necessary documentation such as policies and procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated high level procurement management experience ideally in a government environment. You will have strong knowledge to advise stakeholders on appropriate market approaches such as tendering, direct negotiation and competitive dialogue.
The ideal candidate for this role should display well-developed verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills that enable effective and collaborative working relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Your ability to undertake research, reporting writing and the preparation of responses will also make you an ideal candidate for this role. Sounds knowledge and understanding of the practical application of policies, procedures and legislation in the work environment will also be highly advantageous.
