About the project
The Adelaide Park Lands upgrade delivered facilities and spaces for a wide range of different age groups and levels of activity.
Existing features such as soccer pitches were retained while a shared use path link (Park Lands trail) was upgraded. A youth space with a skateable area and a nature play area were two important features included for two distinct user groups. Community gardens and a kick-about area with picnic facilities and shelters completed the inviting and welcoming feel. For those looking to be active, a petanque piste (bocce), basketball and tennis court with fence and rebound wall were also incorporated.
New lighting along the realigned shared path under Park Terrace and a new sealed car park delivered practical outcomes to further enhance the upgrade.
