Renewal SA’s Office for Regional Housing invites Registrations of Interest (ROI) from developers to create new housing projects across eligible Local Government Areas (LGA) in regional South Australia to support growth in our regional communities.

The Regional Housing Initiatives Program (RHIP) follows the success of the initial round.

There are two forms of support on offer:

• Acquisition of allotments to support new housing supply.
• Acquisition of rights to lease to accelerate the delivery of new rental housing for key workers.

Submissions will be evaluated against the evaluation criteria.

Key dates

• ROI released: Wednesday 14 October 2026
• Last queries due by: 5:00 pm (ACDT), Wednesday 16 December 2026
• ROI closed: 5:00 pm (ACDT), Wednesday 23 December 2026
• Preferred proponent/s notified by: Q1 2027
• Development agreement (or similar) executed by: Q1 2027
