About the project
The Glenside redevelopment is a major urban project located just 2.6 kilometres from Adelaide’s city centre.
The 16.5-hectare site, formerly occupied by the Glenside Hospital, was released to the market in 2015. Cedar Woods Properties Limited was selected as the preferred developer, acquired the site from the state government and started development in 2017.
The project integrates heritage-listed buildings with contemporary residential design, situated adjacent to the Adelaide Park Lands. Upon completion, it will comprise more than 1,000 dwellings, with about 30% of the site allocated for public open space.
Cedar Woods recently secured approval for a Planning and Design Code Amendment, increasing the maximum building height from 8 to 20 storeys in the north-west corner of the development, which is closest to the CBD.
