One role will focus on our Residential portfolio, which develops some of the state’s largest master planned communities, including Playford Alive, Noarlunga, Prospect Corner, Seaton and others. While the other will take the lead at the Adelaide Station and Environs Redevelopment (ASER)—a landmark city-shaping initiative— and the nationally recognised Tonsley Innovation District, driving innovation, investment, and community outcomes.
Both positions offer the opportunity to be at the forefront of South Australia’s most ambitious and high-profile developments, contributing to vibrant communities, world-class precincts, and urban renewal that will leave a lasting legacy.
As a Senior Development Manager, you will oversee projects across the full development lifecycle—from planning and design, commercial negotiations and outcomes, house design development, through to on-site delivery—while providing strategic direction, mentoring multi-disciplinary teams, and ensuring successful outcomes that align with Renewal SA’s bold vision for growth and prosperity.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and delivery of complex development projects across Residential, ASER, Tonsley and other major precincts, ensuring strategic, operational, and financial outcomes are achieved.
- Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures to deliver best-practice project outcomes across all elements of the development lifecycle.
- Work with key internal teams such as finance, sales and marketing ensuring delivery of the Project Business Plans.
- Lead, mentor, and manage multi-disciplinary teams, fostering collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
- Manage project budgets, capital expenditure, and revenue targets to drive efficiency and optimise outcomes.
- Identify, monitor, and manage project risks, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and a strong safety-first approach.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, driving collaboration and successful project outcomes.
About you
You’re a strategic and results-driven leader with extensive experience in complex project delivery. You thrive in dynamic environments, balancing competing priorities while keeping teams motivated and focused on achieving transformative outcomes.
You will bring:
- Proven experience managing large and complex development projects across the full lifecycle.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a track record of guiding multi-disciplinary teams to success.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and relationship management abilities.
- Strong commercial, financial, and project management acumen.
- A tertiary qualification in Property, Development, Planning, Land Economics or a related field.
