As the Senior Commercial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role as a trusted advisor, offering expert guidance on various facets of the property market, asset valuations, and commercial strategies for Renewal SA. Leveraging your profound expertise in financial modelling and commercial management, you will be instrumental in steering projects towards financial success.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop robust business cases for new and existing projects, collaborating with stakeholders and supporting the preparation of executive-level documentation for decision-making bodies.
• Conduct financial modelling and analysis, including evaluating various options for respective property transactions, to inform decision-making in relation to acquisitions, development, leasing, and selling.
• Gather input from project managers and stakeholders to establish accurate project budgets, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
• Work with external valuers, cost planners and other specialist to provide further robustness to financial modelling assumptions.
• Provide an independent view, test alternative options, and partner with executive and project teams to gather information and bridge the gap between finance and operational teams to ensure knowledge sharing and effective collaboration.
• Evaluate project performance against relevant benchmarks, conducting comparative studies to measure success throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain detailed project feasibilities, update project financial models and whole-of-life budgets and conduct independent valuations of assets for statutory reporting purposes.
• Attend project control group meetings with Joint Venture partners and other property industry group meetings as required.

We are looking for an experienced analyst in the relevant field who can demonstrate:

• Strong track record in the property market (desirable), asset valuations, and commercial strategies
• Proven expertise in financial modelling, analytical skills, and strategic vision for driving financial success. Advanced Excel skills including financial modelling are mandatory.
• Effective communication (both written and verbal) skills, leadership, and adaptability with a commitment to integrity.
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (Accounting, Financial Management etc.) Post graduate qualifications including CPA/CA or other are desirable.
