About the role

Renewal SA is seeking a proactive and solutions-focused Safety Advisor to provide expert safety monitoring, assurance, and advisory services to our Asset Management and Project Delivery teams.

In this key role, you’ll guide teams on health and safety matters, review and enhance safety systems, and help foster a strong safety culture across our projects—ensuring work is undertaken in line with WHS legislation, organisational standards, and best practice safety principles.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on WHS matters, with a focus on hazard management and contractor safety.
  • Review and enhance safety management systems, processes, and documentation.
  • Oversee the implementation of permit-to-work systems and manage hazard and WHS risk information.
  • Deliver safety assurance activities, observations, and audits.
  • Maintain safety data and metrics, and support timely incident reporting, response and investigations.

About you

You’re a confident communicator with a strong technical understanding of workplace safety and a commitment to building positive, safe work environments. You have the ability to balance compliance with practical, fit-for-purpose solutions and enjoy working closely with teams to achieve safe outcomes.

You will bring:

  • Experience in WHS advisory, assurance, or compliance roles within construction project and/or asset/infrastructure maintenance environments.
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or relevant experience).
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, ISO 45001, and safety best practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence safety culture.
  • A collaborative approach and strong organisational skills, alongside high-level computer literacy.
