About the role

Renewal SA is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Project Governance Office - Senior Advisor to manage and elevate our project governance and secretariat functions.

In this role, you’ll lead implementation and oversight of frameworks, systems, and reporting processes that uphold Renewal SA’s high standards of public sector governance and integrity. You’ll play a critical role in implementing and utilising Riskonnect, our digital platform for project management and reporting across the organisation to ensure governance activities remain streamlined and data driven. Additionally, you will be influential in optimising operations of our internal committees, fostering compliance with legislative requirements and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitor and support compliance with governance frameworks and public sector policy.
  • Coordinate and support Renewal SA’s internal committees and subgroup operations.
  • Manage corporate reporting, strategic documents, and policy registers.
  • Partner with the Office of the Chief Executive to align governance and risk activities.
  • Analyse project and program data to support assurance reporting and improvement.

About you

You demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration across all levels. You are highly adaptable, respond effectively to change, and bring a proactive mindset to dynamic environments. You focus on continuous improvement by identifying innovative solutions and establishing processes that strengthen governance and support Renewal SA’s ongoing success.

You will bring:

  • Experience in project governance, public sector administration, or executive officer / secretariat roles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in identifying innovative solutions, developing and maintaining policies, registers, and frameworks.
  • A tertiary qualification in public administration or similar (or equivalent experience).
