Are you an experienced development professional passionate about fostering partnerships that deliver housing outcomes and make a real difference in regional communities? The Office for Regional Housing is seeking a Development Manager to lead the establishment and oversight of residential development and housing projects and partnerships that support sustainable growth across South Australia's regions.
As a Development Manager, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of multiple residential development and housing projects through a combination of direct delivery and strategic partnerships - from concept to completion. You'll work closely with government, industry, and regional communities to deliver projects that align with state strategic objectives.
- Develop and implement strategies to support regional housing and community needs through collaborative efforts.
- Lead the establishment and management of partnerships and projects across infrastructure, design, and housing delivery.
- Evaluate and manage project performance, timelines, risks, and resources in partnership with stakeholders.
- Provide expert advice aligned with government policies and regulatory frameworks.
- Oversee delivery teams and consultants through design, approvals, and construction phases, ensuring effective collaboration.
About you
We're looking for a skilled, solutions-focused development leader with a strong background in property or infrastructure delivery and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and managing complex development, housing or infrastructure partnerships.
- Ability to manage diverse stakeholder interests, including regional and government partners.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets, contracts, and procurement.
- Effective communicator with a collaborative and consultative approach.
- Tertiary qualifications in Property, Project Management, Business, Planning, Construction, or Engineering (essential); PMP certification desirable.
