About the role

Renewal SA is seeking two motivated and collaborative Assistant Development Managers to help deliver some of South Australia’s most exciting and transformational projects. These include the innovation hub at Lot Fourteen, as well as a range of significant Industrial and Defence initiatives such as Edinburgh Parks and the Deep Maintenance and Modification Facility (DMMF).

In these roles, you’ll coordinate and implement the early stages of development opportunities and assist in managing project delivery to ensure the achievement of project goals, objectives and KPIs. Working across complex, high-profile urban renewal and strategic industrial initiatives, you’ll gain invaluable experience in shaping projects that drive economic growth, community outcomes and South Australia’s future industries.

Key responsibilities:

  • Contribute to project planning, feasibility assessments and due diligence to support sound investment and delivery decisions.
  • Prepare reports and track progress to monitor outcomes, identify risks and highlight opportunities.
  • Assist with the management of developments from concept through to completion, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Support stakeholder engagement and negotiations to secure positive project and community outcomes.
  • Manage relationships with consultants, contractors and partners to ensure effective collaboration and performance.
  • Build networks across Renewal SA, government and industry to optimise opportunities and deliver shared objectives.

About you

You’re an emerging development professional who thrives on working across complex projects, values collaboration, and is motivated by achieving results that make a difference to South Australia’s communities, industries and economy.

You will bring:

  • Experience in property development, project coordination or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and reporting capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A tertiary qualification in Property, Development, Planning, Land Economics or a related field (or equivalent experience).
