Our joint venture with CIC Australia (part of the Peet Group) at Lightsview is a multi-award winning master planned development situated eight kilometres from Adelaide’s CBD.

Lightsview received both the coveted President’s Award and Best Master Planned Development in Australia 2014 in the Urban Development Institute of Australia’s National Awards.

A key innovation at Lightsview is the introduction of zoning to allow small-lot, higher-density residential development. Because of this, Lightsview provides the widest range of housing and land options of any Adelaide suburb.

Lightsview is characterised by fresh architectural design and an appealing and diverse streetscape.

The guiding design principles at Lightsview also require homes to be oriented for maximum winter warmth and summer shade.

High quality and varied public open spaces and wide streets with footpaths create a sense of space for residents to enjoy outside of their own homes.

Every dwelling is located within 300 metres of a high quality landscaped park.

Bus routes have been integrated into the development to encourage residents’ use of public transport.

Lightsview exceeds the state goverment’s 15% affordable housing requirement with a range of well-planned and appealing homes.

Over 85 per cent of the land development has been completed. More than 2000 allotments have been sold to date. A range of neighbourhood parks and linking reserves are already complete.

In October 2013, the state government approved an extension of the project over the majority of the adjoining former Ross Smith Secondary School site on Hampstead Road.

In March 2014, Lightsview was judged Australia’s best entry in the ‘Master Planned Development’ category by the Urban Development Institute of Australia before being chosen as the ‘best of the best’ from national award category winners.

Several apartment buildings have been constructed with the building of further apartments well under way.

Additional villages have been built to showcase detached homes and terraced housing.

Lightsview won the 2016 UDIA SA Award for Excellence in the category of Medium Density Housing.
