Cheesemaker La Casa Del Formaggio will relocate and expand its operations at the Northern Adelaide Food Park, boosting production, increasing shared services and creating local jobs.

It is expected 208 jobs will be created during construction, with a further 90 new ongoing jobs in professional, administration and factory processing roles, as the company expands.

Importantly, as a local business, La Casa Del Formaggio will continue to support the South Australian dairy farmers who provide it with premium fresh milk, delivering optimal quality for perfect cheese making.

Auscold Logistics has also entered into a contract to secure up to six hectares of land at the Food Park to expand its specialised transport, logistics and cold storage operations. It is investing over $25 million to build a new state-of-the-art Cold Storage and Distribution Centre, to be built in two stages, with the initial stage starting in the latter part of 2018, employing over 100 people in construction and related jobs.

The majority of raw materials for the building will be sourced from South Australian based companies. Following completion of the first stage, Auscold Logistics will employ approximately 50–60 new staff, and once the second stage is complete in 2020 the total number of employees will be around 200 people.

The Northern Adelaide Food Park at Edinburgh Parks in Adelaide’s north is an export¬ focused, food manufacturing precinct – home to expanding companies that drive growth in South Australia’s value added food sector.

The Food Park is development ready, with high-quality industrial grade services and existing buildings suitable for conversion to suit the food industry.

La Casa Del Formaggio and Auscold Logistics will join existing food businesses Coles, lnghams, Infuse Bottling Co and Comfresh at Edinburgh Parks.

In addition, a bioenergy facility to be located in northern Adelaide may also provide waste and energy solutions and efficiencies for businesses located at the Food Park.
