Tonsley’s District Energy Scheme will see the installation of approximately 20,000 solar photovoltaic panels on the expansive eight-hectare roofs of the Main Assembly Building (MAB) and adjoining TAFE SA building. Featuring a total capacity of up to 6MW once installed, it will provide power for Tonsley businesses, organisations and residents. Read more…

Furthering Tonsley’s reputation as SA’s centre of renewable energy technologies, we heard from the Australian Gas Infrastructure Group’s Lead Advisor for Low Carbon Transformation, Vikram Singh regarding Hydrogen Park SA (aka HyP SA), an Australian-first hydrogen production and distribution facility to be built at Tonsley.

Esteemed Adelaide hospitality and brewing operator, Kidd Retail Group (KRG) will develop the Boiler House for adaptive reuse as a brewery and restaurant/bar, employing 75 staff once up and running next year. The offering will include craft beers brewed on site under the Lady Burra label, plus meals, coffees and drinks throughout the day and entertainment in the evenings. Read more…

Expressions of interest were sought over winter to purchase and develop Lot 34 on the western side of the stunning Main Assembly Building (or MAB) and adjacent to the new Tonsley Village development as a retail precinct. Expressions of interest have now closed and we hope to be able to announce the preferred proponent for this opportunity soon. Read more…
