Southern Stepping Stone (SA) Childcare & Early Development Centres Pre-employment program
Who we are looking for
The program seeks enthusiastic and dedicated individuals eager to make a positive impact on the lives of young children. Participants will undergo a comprehensive 49-week training program, during which they will receive nationally accredited training and gain practical experience. To qualify, participants must be eligible for a Working with Children Check, and full vaccination against COVID-19 is preferred. The program encourages women and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to apply.
Program highlights
Nationally accredited training: Participants will work towards obtaining the (CHC30121) Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and (HLTAID012) Provide first aid in an education and care setting.
Supervised work experience: The program includes 160 hours of supervised work experience placements, ensuring that participants gain hands-on, practical experience.
Job ready training: Workshops led by industry experts will further enhance participants' knowledge and readiness for employment.
Employment opportunities: Graduates will be eligible for employment opportunities with Stepping Stone (SA) Childcare & Early Development Centres.

Duration: July 2024 to July 2025
Schedule: Training sessions are held every Friday from 9:15 am to 3:15 pm. Work experience placements are on Thursdays.
Location: Stepping Stone (SA) Hove, 382-388 Brighton Road, Hove SA 5048.
Cost: There is a $600 student co-contribution fee, with potential subsidies available.
