Stage 2 of the $130 million development, The Square at Woodville West, is being released to market following the sell-out success of Stage 1.

The second release will deliver 81 new homes and create approximately 90 jobs over the next three years.

Minister for Housing and Urban Development John Rau says he anticipates the Stage 2 release will be sought after by purchasers who want to be part of the major renewal underway in Woodville West.

“Stage 1 has been a huge success with all 69 dwellings sold and around 110 new residents now calling Woodville West home,” he said.

“The Square at Woodville West is demonstrating leadership in urban renewal and infill by creating a diverse community that delivers a high degree of social inclusiveness in a connected and mixed-use environment.”

“This is a progressive, vibrant and modern development that brings back true neighbourhood living”, he said.

Architecturally designed by GHD Woodhead in Adelaide, the project aims to deliver a wide range of housing types including one and two storey townhouses, cottages and lofts as part of an active and walkable neighbourhood.

The 13 hectare site is boarded by West Lakes Boulevard and Todville Street and is well connected to nearby public transport including bus and rail services. Local amenities include the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woodville West Kindergarten, primary and secondary schools and a great mix of sporting facilities.

Renewal SA is investing $130 million into The Square at Woodville West over the life of the project.

The Square will deliver 425 new homes for approximately 700-800 residents and will include a retail premises including café, open space, new parks, gardens, linear bikeways and public spaces.
