A prime new residential and mixed-use development opportunity with lake frontages is available in the heart of Adelaide’s north, Mawson Lakes, 13 kilometres from the CBD.

Renewal SA is offering 1.55 hectares of land on two separate development sites, Douglas Drive and Park Way, Technology Park for sale by expression of interest.

The State Government, through Renewal SA, is seeking an experienced developer to deliver a high quality residential or mixed-use development featuring diversity of quality and affordable housing.

Development of the site is estimated to support 30 jobs over a two-year construction period and stimulate investment of approximately $10 million.

Michael Buchan, General Manager at Renewal SA said ‘This opportunity is a significant and rare offering in Technology Park, Mawson Lakes surrounded by a mixture of residential and high-tech organisations’.

The two sites are located within Technology Park at Mawson Lakes. One parcel of land is available on Douglas Drive with lake frontages and has two Certificate of Titles. The second parcel of land is available on Park Way with parkland frontages and one Certificate of Title. The site is home to a well presented heritage listed property which will be incorporated in the proposed development.

The sites are within the City of Salisbury and are currently situated in the recently approved transition area of the Mawson Lakes Urban Core Zone.
Renewal SA’s priorities are to accelerate the renewal of neighbourhoods, increase the supply and diversity of affordable housing, enhance the amenity of our communities, and to contribute to urban development through implementation of the 30-Yeal Plan for Greater Adelaide.

The successful proponent will be required to deliver a minimum 15 per cent affordable housing and to ensure the development provides a high quality public realm that meet the needs of the local community.

The sale is being marketed through McGees Property.

Tom Bailey, Sales Executive at McGees Property expects the mix-use sites will peak interest ‘The two separate parcels with a combined area of 1.5 hectares have lake and parkland frontages with scope for either residential or mixed use development. We expect strong interest from local and national developers when offered to the market’.

Expressions of interest close at 2pm on Tuesday 27 September 2016.
