Swift sales of recent stages at Playford Alive have prompted Renewal SA to release more greenfield land to market in Adelaide’s north.

A further 37 allotments are now up for sale off Coventry Road at Munno Para, assisting to address the state’s pressing need for new housing, particularly for first homeowners looking to purchase at entry level prices. Thirteen of the allotments within Stage 6H will be sold within the affordable price range for land starting from $185,000.

Purchasers will enjoy flexibility in block sizes (allotments range from 300m2 to 526m2), house design and builder selection to suit a variety of lifestyles and budgets, plus have access to front yard landscaping, fencing, a letter box and a hot water system rebate as part of a Bonus Pack for new residents.

The stage also aligns with Renewal SA’s newly implemented sustainability guidelines that aim to promote eco-conscious living through environmental principles such as mandated lighter-coloured roofs, which combat the urban heat island effect and enhance energy efficiency.

Civil works and subdivision of the allotments will commence next month, paving the way for home construction in the new year. Residents are anticipated to be able to move into their homes by early 2026.

Renewal SA Executive Director of Residential Project Delivery and Assets, Shane Wingard said the release of the next stage was yet another positive step towards realising Playford Alive’s broader master plan and meet the growing needs of the community.

“Demand for homes that place families within vibrant communities is growing stronger and Stage 6H will deliver just that,” Mr Wingard said. “The previous stages sold out in a couple weeks and interest is proving to be strong once again for this next round of sales, thanks to the lifestyle that Playford Alive offers to its residents.

“It sits just minutes away from Munno Para Railway Station, Mark Oliphant College and the Town Centre with a range of shops, restaurants, and cafes to explore. The popular Playford Alive Town Park is also in close proximity, with a range of family friendly spaces including a BMX and skate zone, picnic facilities, library and playground.

“Renewal SA's dedication to sustainability is also another selling point for environmentally conscious buyers. We are looking to implement higher energy efficiency standards across all our residential developments. These efforts, underscored by the state government’s Climate Change Action Plan, aim to propel South Australia towards a net-zero carbon future by 2050.”

More land at Playford Alive, within the recently announced Newton Boulevard extension, will be released in April 2024.
