Work has begun on a new retail development in the Playford Alive Town Centre, creating jobs both during construction, and once complete the site will house a Snap Fitness, Benson Radiology and a KFC store, creating an estimated 70 ongoing jobs.

Of the development, Housing and Urban Development Minister, The Hon Stephen Mullighan said: “Playford Alive’s Town Centre is continuing to grow and these additions will offer people in the area more choices when it comes to health and fitness services and for eating out.”

Commercial & General, one of Australia’s fastest growing property developers, won the project with their expression of interest to develop the 3,914m2 site at the corner of Peachy and Curtis Roads as part of the Playford Alive urban renewal project. Construction is expected to be completed by March 2017.

Through Renewal SA, Playford Alive is regenerating the Peachey Belt suburbs of Davoren Park and Smithfield Plains and developing new sites in Munno Para, Munno Para Downs, Penfield and Andrews Farm.
