Are you, or someone you know, an experienced architect who could chair the Bowden Design Review Panel?

Renewal SA is now seeking the services of an experienced architect to chair the Design Review Panel for one of South Australia’s prominent developments and continue its success story.

The Bowden Design Review Panel was first formed in 2011 to provide expert advice on the quality, liveability and suitability of designs for Bowden’s built form development.

“Over the last five years, the Design Review Panel has influenced many development proposals including Plant 4 Bowden, which has been very popular with locals and visitors,” said Bowden Project Director Shane Wingard.

“This is a rare opening for a well-regarded architect to play a leading role in offering their expertise and fresh perspective on sustainable urban design, and have a meaningful, lasting impact on Bowden’s community."

A vibrant inner-city destination

The vision for Bowden is to create a walkable neighbourhood with sustainable, commercially viable, residential, commercial and retail development. Built form and public realm are to be well integrated, high-quality and innovative.

When completed, the Bowden project is intended to deliver more than 2,000 new dwellings, approximately 10,000 to 12,000 square meters of commercial floor space and 5,000 to 8,000 square meters of retail floor space. To date, 18 development sites containing higher-density apartment buildings and a number of townhouses have been completed.
