The first residents have moved in, a large public park has opened, and a premium selection of homes are about to go on sale at Renewal SA’s Prospect Corner development just outside the city.
The 2.6-hectare estate on the corner of Churchill and Regency Road at Prospect has reached a major milestone, with the handover of the first seven townhouses to their new owners this month.
The new homeowners will gather this weekend alongside soon-to-be residents to celebrate the official opening of Payinthi Reserve, the large central park at the heart of the estate.
Payinthi Reserve is the largest of three parks to be delivered at Prospect Corner. It features a kickabout lawn, playground, all-weather shelters, BBQ facilities, edible gardens and an urban gym, designed by GD Studia and built by Outside Ideas.
“It is really rewarding to see this park finally come to fruition,” said Skye Bayne, Renewal SA’s Executive Director of Sales and Corporate Affairs.
“We worked very closely with the existing community in this area, the council and even local schools to design Payinthi Reserve, and I think it looks fabulous.”
Ms Bayne said the fact that it’s a stone’s throw from these first homes, and that new residents can gather here, enjoy the springtime and even pick some herbs for their dinner is fantastic.
“It is great we have been able to align the opening of the high-quality public reserve with the first members of this community moving in,” she said.
From Sunday, even more people have the opportunity to live on the doorstep of Payinthi Reserve, with Renewal SA launching a range of townhouses to market, some of which are park facing.
“Some of these homes will be among the most premium and beautiful at Prospect Corner,” Ms Bayne said.
The north-facing residences, to be built by Buildtec Group, will be delivered turn-key ready inside and out, with landscaping, fencing, paths and driveways all included.
Across three styles, the homes feature a two-car garage, open-plan kitchen, living and dining with balconies overlooking the park on the first floor, and bedrooms on the upper level
The release includes a mix of two- and three-bedroom options. Each main bedroom comes with an ensuite, large built-in wardrobe and park views.
Ms Bayne said the new release brings high-end diversity to the estate.
“We’ve worked to strike the right balance between affordability and premium offerings while maintaining the market accessibility you’d expect from a Renewal SA-led development,” she said.
“We worked closely with architects to deliver style and modern finishes, with sophisticated yet low maintenance living.
“There will be a real sense of tranquillity and elegance brought by the location of these homes right on Payinthi Reserve.”
All homes in this release include energy-efficient kitchen appliances, stone benchtops, premium floor coverings and a range of colour schemes and upgrades for buyers to personalise their home.
Prices and further details will be released on Sunday.
Also from next week, prospective residents will be able to explore what Prospect Corner has to offer with the opening of Renewal SA’s new display home at 65 Payinthi Drive.
“There has been a lot of interest in our townhouses at Prospect Corner, with many people asking about a display home so they can see what living here would be like,” Ms Bayne said.
The three-bedroom display home, designed by Jabba Architects and built by Buildtec, has been styled for presentation by Fresh House Co, local specialists in curating spaces.
Ms Bayne encouraged anyone interested in living in the area to visit the display home and spend time in Prospect.
“Explore the home, visualise what’s possible, take a walk through the park, visit nearby Prospect Road for a coffee and some lunch. You might just discover your future.”
The display home will be open on Saturdays from 10am until 2pm or by appointment and will be operated by sales agents Taarnby Real Estate on behalf of Renewal SA.
Due for completion in 2028, Prospect Corner, located just a three-minute drive from Prospect Road, will deliver 208 new homes including 108 townhouses and two apartment buildings with a total of 100 apartments.
The first of the two apartment buildings is targeting completion in December 2025 while the second is expected to be completed in April 2026.
Renewal SA is targeting at least 55% affordable housing for Prospect Corner through townhouse sales and apartment rentals.
