Prospect render

Great interest among first home buyers and people hoping to take advantage of more affordable housing opportunities is expected when 27 off-the-plan homes on the fringe of the Adelaide CBD are released today.

Potential buyers can look forward to a mix of 10 different styles of townhouses – and eight new designs - at Prospect Corner courtesy of the third release of homes from Renewal SA. The up and coming community will comprise 108 houses and 100 apartments on completion and its diversity of homes is expected to appeal to a wide range of buyers.

The release provides an opportunity for buyers looking to take get onto the housing ladder via the HomeSeeker affordable housing scheme with 12 of the homes available under this option. Prices for a Torren’s Titled two bedroom townhouse with a garage begin at $650,000.

The new homes are in addition to 16 dwellings that sold very quickly under the first two releases earlier this year.

Renewal SA Executive Director Residential Project Delivery and Assets, Peter Gatsios, said that assisting people to own their first homes would help enormously in creating a sense of security and community in a corner of Adelaide that is just seven kilometres from the CBD.

“Prospect is very well connected in terms of public transport for commuters as well as being a recognised destination in its own right with retail and eating out facilities nearby,” he said.

“It’s well zoned for schools and the range of houses within this release will cater for families perhaps attracted to the three storey homes as well as single people and couples seeking more compact homes with single garages. There are not many sites available for development near to the CBD and Prospect Corner has the potential to provide a first rate quality of life.”

A three storey corner house at $875,000 will be the most expensive house released and all homes will come with either a single, double or tandem garage.”

National builder Burbank has been appointed to build the townhouses following on from Buildtec which is constructing the houses in stages one and two.

At seven kilometres from Adelaide’s CBD, Prospect Corner has outstanding public transport links with a short commute to the city by train from Islington Railway Station which is just a few minutes walk away.

Prospect Corner is close to retail and commercial facilities including the Churchill Centre, which has a bulky goods precinct including Bunnings and Savers plus an activity centre with Coles, Aldi, Costco, Kmart and more than 50 speciality stores, fast food outlets and petrol stations.

Work began earlier this year on the initial eight houses scheduled for completion in mid 2025.

Established Adelaide real estate agent Taarnby continues its role at Prospect Corner for sales on the forthcoming release of 27 townhouses.
