Expressions of interest are now open for the redevelopment of six key sites across Port Adelaide. The invitation has gone out to local, national and international developers with the vision and experience to capitalise on the waterfront and heritage setting of the Port.

The opportunity is for developers to work with us to plan and redevelop six key sites:

  • Dock One
  • Cruickshank’s Corner
  • Port Approach
  • North West
  • Fletcher’s Slip
  • Hart’s Mill

Objectives for the redevelopment

Objectives for the redevelopment of the Port Adelaide include the creation of energetic and inspiring urban neighbourhoods with high quality public spaces that capitalise on waterfront settings and improve walking and cycling connections. In residential precincts, it is expected that development will provide a range of high quality, innovative housing options, including affordable housing. We are looking for developers who can demonstrate innovative built form with a compelling vision to enhance the distinctive heritage of the Port.

Any proposal for the precinct will need to maximise economic benefits to the state through construction activity and job creation which supports the local community.

Invitation closes on 1 September 2015

There will be a three stage process to identify suitable developers, with the first stage closing on 1 September 2015 leading to negotiations with preferred proponents in late 2015.
