At Renewal SA everyone has a role to play in helping us shape and transform our State.

Through our diverse skill sets and by mobilising our collective passion for South Australia, we are delivering nation-leading property and development outcomes.

Our culture supports and ignites our ongoing delivery of innovative, high-value projects for the communities we work within and the entire State.

Our Purpose and Values

Our purpose is to improve the lives of South Australians now and into the future by leading, supporting and driving investment and growth through property and projects.

This purpose is at the forefront of every decision we make and is the reason why many of our staff choose to work at Renewal SA.

It underlines the meaning and importance of our work and is brought to life through our values and behaviours each day.

It echoes and personalises the South Australian public sector strategic purpose statement – Making a difference so South Australia thrives – and is brought to life through our values and behaviours each day.

Our values are in line with the South Australian public sector values and guide our behaviours and practices.

They apply to everyone at Renewal SA, regardless of position, expertise, or location.

These values reflect our commitment to the ever-changing needs of South Australians, and the role of government in helping to foster the State’s prosperity and wellbeing.

Work Health and Safety

We are committed to a safe and incident and injury free workplace. It is vitally important to us that our employees, and those of our partners and subcontractors, get home safely every day.

  • At Renewal SA, Work Health and Safety (WHS) is an integral part of our business and is considered as important as all other aspects of our business performance.
  • We are committed to achieving a safe and accident-free workplace across all interactions (both externally and internally). We do this by promoting a robust and resilient safety culture, eliminating hazards, and reducing risks, preventing injury and ill health and providing a safe and healthy working environment for our workers and others who may be affected by our activities.
  • We involve our employees in the decision-making process through regular communication and consultation. We have a dedicated WHS committee to ensure that safety is a priority across all our project sites.
  • As an organisation working to improve the lives of all South Australians, we are well-positioned to take significant and positive steps toward addressing the serious, prevalent, and preventable issue of violence against women.
  • We recognise the considerable impact that violence against women has on individuals and communities and have a culture of zero tolerance of violence against women.
  • Our organisation is a safe place that embodies equality, inclusiveness, and respect. We support our employees should they become impacted by domestic violence.
  • We influence our partners and make our zero-tolerance stance clear through our Respectful Behaviour clause in all Renewal SA procurement contracts.

Diversity and Inclusion

We respect and value our people’s differences and embrace the knowledge and capability that each employee brings to our workplace.

  • Renewal SA delivers a diverse range of projects across South Australia and, to be successful, we recognise that we need a broad range of skills and experience as well as a workforce that reflects the community we serve.
  • We welcome the opportunity to work with all people and are inclusive of all diversity streams: gender, LGBTIQ+, disability, First Nations people, culturally and linguistically diverse and age.
  • Our graduate program is focused on attracting young people to the property sector and we’re actively working to promote and attract women to the industry.
  • Our commitment to Diversity and Inclusion is documented in our Diversity and Inclusion Strategy and supported by a dedicated internal committee.
  • We recognise that having a diverse workforce ensures we are representative of the communities we work within, have a variety of different perspectives, and increases innovation.

  • In 2022, we commenced the next part of our reconciliation journey through our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) which outlines a series of actions and deliverables that will help us take our commitment to reconciliation from aspiration to reality. We are committed to working with First Nations peoples to bring the best elements of Culture and Country to the fore and delivering those through our projects.
