Shape the narrative and elevate our brand as a Strategic Communications Advisor at Renewal SA. In this dynamic role, you'll craft and implement comprehensive communications strategies in line with our strategic direction, dive into the fast-paced environment of media and stakeholder engagement and identify opportunities whilst managing challenges across diverse projects. As a key player within a wider communications team, you'll collaborate closely with internal project groups, foster relationships with industry partners, the community, and other external stakeholders, and build meaningful connections with state and local government agencies.

Reporting to the Media and Communications Lead, and leading a talented Communications Advisor, you'll be at the forefront of impactful communications and will deliver innovative and compelling messaging that resonates with our target audiences and leverages various channels to enhance our brand presence.

About you

A strategic thinker, you will manage and steer the course of multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously. You can articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely and adapt communication styles for different audiences. Your leadership and creativity will inspire an innovative work environment and drive communications excellence. Possession of tertiary qualifications in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or equivalent experience is a must.

Key accountabilities

Strategic vision: Lead the development, execution, and evaluation of dynamic communications and engagement plans and corporate communication strategy, driving key messaging internally and externally that align with Renewal SA's strategic priorities and key business objectives.

Internal communications expertise: Deliver clear strategies supporting business transformation, organisational change, and growth. Foster employee engagement while ensuring alignment with company objectives, vision, purpose, and values.

High-level management: Provide sound strategic advice to executives and senior leaders, and craft impactful collateral including speech notes to support Executive and Ministerial communications.

Stakeholder engagement: Tailor corporate messaging to suit a raft of different audiences to encourage widespread engagement and participation, whilst keeping Renewal SA and government priorities, project marketing objectives, and target demographics top of mind.

Creative content development: Develop considered, targeted communication materials --speeches, presentations, publications, electronic newsletters, and online content --that are high-quality, fit-for-purpose and strengthen Renewal SA's brand and reputation.

Continuous improvement: Play a leadership role in boosting communications capability across the agency, identify training and development opportunities for staff, and championing best practice including the regular review of language guidelines, templates, and communication materials.
