About the role

We have an opportunity for an experienced, senior media and communications professional to join our highly experienced and high performing team.

In this role you will provide leadership and direction to the Media and Communications team at Renewal SA, oversee the development and distribution of internal and external media and communications for the agency and provide expert guidance and advice to the Director Stakeholder Engagement and Communications and other senior leaders, colleagues and team members.

As well as being a key member of the Communications and Stakeholder Engagement team, you will work collaboratively with the Marketing Lead and the marketing team to develop and deliver marketing, promotional and communication campaigns to meet corporate and project objectives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of Renewal SA's communication strategies, campaigns and programs ensuring alignment and support of Renewal SA's Strategic Plan and brand framework.
  • Manage the development, implementation and evaluation of Renewal SA's internal communications, corporate communications, media and PR activities to support the achievement of strategic objectives.
  • Continuously seek to improve and develop communications capability across the agency, foster best practice use of communication tools and channels, and ensure all communication activity complies will relevant policy and across-government requirements.

About you

Not only are you well versed and experienced in all aspects of media and corporate communications such as writing and storytelling, internal communications, media and public relations, social media and digital communications, strategy and evaluation, you are a manager and leader who is personally rewarded by your team's delivery and success.

You are organised and can help to keep the team on track and will communicate widely with your leaders and colleagues about strategies, priorities and progress.

You will need to have strong verbal and written communication skills and a highly developed customer service focus, with a drive to elevate and improve quality and capability across Renewal SA.

You need to be good at building and maintaining strong positive relationships, have an interest in the property and development industry, and a passion for making a meaningful contribution to South Australia.
