About the role

Renewal SA is looking for someone to lead and oversee financial reporting and accounting processes to ensure robust internal controls and collaborate with the multiple stakeholders to effectively address complex accounting issues and meet regulatory obligations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and review transactional processing, reconciliations, and ensure timely recovery of monies and payment of accounts according to accounting standards.
  • Oversee system administration, propose improvements, and ensure alignment with compliance and governance standards.
  • Handle taxation obligations, including FBT, GST returns, payroll tax, and income tax equivalent returns to maintain organisational compliance.
  • Prepare annual financial statements, manage reporting obligations, and maintain effective relationships with auditors and the Auditor General.

About you

We are looking for an experienced manager in the relevant field who can demonstrate:

  • A strong understanding of financial systems, compliance standards, and taxation regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in managing a team, building relationships and providing financial guidance across various levels of an organisation.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, shifting priorities, and deadlines in a dynamic and complex environment.

Holds a tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, with substantial professional experience in Financial Accounting, Tax, and Audit.
