About the role

Join Renewal SA as an Engagement Officer, where you will be part of a highly driven, dedicated and supportive team that is passionate about building positive relationships with the community and stakeholders.

In this role you will coordinate, deliver and monitor engagement services for major projects. You will be required to contribute to effective engagement and communication activities, ensure compliance with legislative and policy requirements, and foster collaborative stakeholder relationships to achieve successful project outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver a range of engagement services using traditional, digital, and emerging approaches to support Renewal SA projects and priorities.
  • Provide expert advice on the development and implementation of stakeholder and community engagement strategies to enhance participation and quality of engagement.
  • Research and understand the perspectives and needs of businesses, stakeholder groups, and communities impacted by projects.
  • Develop and review project-specific communication materials to encourage participation and communicate project progress.
  • Prepare and present regular and ad hoc engagement-related reports, analysing trends, opportunities, and risks to inform stakeholders.

About you

We are looking for someone with a passion for community engagement and stakeholder management. You will need to be a motivated and collaborative individual, who enjoys listening and interacting with the community, stakeholders and project teams, and have:

  • Communication expertise: excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Engagement experience: proven experience in delivering on stakeholder and community engagement strategies.
  • Analytical skills: ability to research, analyse trends, and identify opportunities and risks.
  • Project management knowledge: skills to assist with planning, delivering and monitoring engagement activities.
  • Technology proficiency: ability to use digital tools and platforms for communication and engagement activities.
