TAFE SA is delighted to present an opportunity for the right candidates to kick-start a rewarding professional career in the signs and graphics industry.
This nine-week Signs & Graphics Pre-employment program will provide participants with the skills to design and layout signs and graphics, apply vinyl and use a range of printing and cutting software to produce signs.
Who we are looking for
Motivated and committed people living in Tonsley and wider metropolitan Adelaide who want to start a career in the signs and graphics industry.
Participants will need to:
- have steel-capped boots
- have a driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- be physically fit.
Women and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.
What you can achieve
Nationally accredited units from the Certificate III in Signs & Graphics (CPC30126) qualification including:
- (CPCCWHS3001) Identify construction work hazards and select risk control strategies
- (CPCCSG3001) Design and lay out digital signs for production
- (CPCCSG3002) Produce and apply vinyl signs
- (CPCCSG3016) Prepare surfaces for signs
- (MSFFF2006) Apply surface coatings by spray gun
- (CPCCWHS1001) Prepare to work safely in the construction industry.
Work experience with potential employers.
Employment opportunities available for suitable program graduates.
What you need to do
1. Register to attend the Information and Selection Session
Contact Tanya Guy at TAFE SA by Friday 3 April 2020 to register for the Information and Selection Session.
Participants will only be selected for the program after attending the Information and Selection Session.
2. Attend the Information and Selection Session
When: 9.30am–1.30pm, Wednesday 8 April 2020
Where: TAFE SA Tonsley campus (Room 1:G:1) located at 284 South Road, Tonsley
Attendees must be present for the entire Information and Selection Session to be chosen for the program.
Program hours: 8.30am–4.00pm
Training runs Monday to Thursday, from 27 April 2020 to 11 June 2020.
Work experience placements run Monday to Friday, from 15 to 26 June 2020.
Training is at the TAFE SA Tonsley campus located at 1284 South Road, Tonsley.
No fees payable — this program has been subsidised by Renewal SA’s Works Program and TAFE SA.
