Sunset Sounds sets up at the former Royal Adelaide Hospital site
Only months after the former Royal Adelaide Hospital closed, over 5,000 people have already started to get to know this new urban destination. The former Royal Adelaide Site has never been more open to the community to experience.
Sunset Sounds will present new and emerging local musicians for people to enjoy, take in the serenading sounds in the courtyard under the bud lit tree canopy. This activation is aimed at showcasing local musicians, and the mix of food and beverage available from businesses located at the former Royal Adelaide Hospital and in the East End.
This is the start of the regular activations this year, ensuring the former Royal Adelaide Hospital site achieves its full potential in contributing to the fabric of the city, as it is developed into one of Australia’s premier creation and innovation neighbourhoods. The Sunset Sounds activation will address some of the key project objectives for the former Royal Adelaide Hospital site in creating a world-class precinct by delivering significant social and community value and providing cultural attractors.
Sunset Sounds is being held over four Fridays in February 2018, 5.30–8.30 pm, with a variety of different music programming for the community to enjoy.
There is also the opportunity to step into Adelaide_Portal and connect live with people from around the world through the latest in immersive technology. Bring your own instrument for an international jam session, as if you were in the same space.
