Summer in the City on the Adelaide Riverbank
The Art of Christmas
Discover The Art of Christmas this festive season along the Adelaide Riverbank. Twelve artists, 12 trees, and one creative trail along the Adelaide Riverbank.
Each tree unique, just like the artists themselves, will form a trail for you to follow. Get started by downloading the map. Take part in the twists and turns along the way including kids’ activities, a letter jumble competition and more.
Visit all the trees to find the clues and rearrange the letters to discover the mystery word for the chance to win a giraffe feeding experience thanks to the Adelaide Zoo.
Explore the Adelaide Riverbank before 31 December to see the trail for yourself.

There’s a new kid on the Adelaide Riverbank – Urban Beach is taking over the shores of Pinky Flat with a sandy oasis this summer.
Enjoy a taste of sumptuous summer food, splash about in the kids’ water play area, or pull up a beach chair and kick back with a good book. Don’t forget to book into a Yoga or Pilates class for yourself.
There’s plenty to do for all ages; if relaxing isn’t your thing get sweaty with beach volleyball, netball, badminton and Frisbee golf; or try your hand at a game of totem tennis, Bocce or even Finska!
What could be more iconically Aussie than a game of beach cricket? Well we have that covered too!
Some of your favourite Adelaide Riverbank family will be there with BBQ Buoys, the Popeye and paddle boats all joining in the summer fun.
Don’t let others beach you to it – see you at Urban Beach this summer. Open until 31 January 2018.

New Year’s Eve 2017
Bring in the New Year with family and friends at the City of Adelaide’s free New Year’s Eve 2017 event held at Elder Park on the Adelaide Riverbank.
There’ll be an Adelaide Riverbank Kid’s Zone, an exciting new attraction and New Year’s Eve first, which will feature a full family program on the Street Theatre Stage from 6pm, children’s shows in the Rastelli venue and special activities for families in the Nonsense Inc. Big Top. This year’s program of roving performance is the largest yet, guaranteed to surprise and delight children and adults alike.
The 2017 fireworks are set to be bigger and more spectacular than ever, thanks to principle partner and fireworks sponsor Enerven. The first fireworks will be at 9pm, before the main show lights up the sky at midnight. Both displays will be set to a sensational soundtrack from local music producer Tim Whitt.
