Resources and Infrastructure Work Preparation live training program
Carey Training in association with the Department for Innovation and Skills are delighted to present this opportunity for the right candidates to begin a rewarding professional career in civil construction and mining industry.
This six-week live training program will appeal to people who are interested in working outdoors and have a reasonable level of fitness.
Who we are looking for
Motivated and committed people who want to start a career in the civil construction and mining industry.
Program participants will have their own personal protective equipment that includes:
- steel-capped boots
- high visibility shirt or vest
- long pants.
Women and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.
What you can achieve
Work experience opportunities may be available for high performing graduates with Renewal SA-managed contractors.
Participants will study nationally-accredited units from the Certificate II in Resources and Infrastructure Work Preparation (RII20115), plus:
- (CPCCWHS1001) Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
- (RIIMPO320F) Conduct civil construction excavator operations (Excavator Ticket).

1. Register to attend the Information and Selection Session

Participants will only be selected for the program after attending the Information and Selection Session.
2. Attend the Information and Selection Session
When: 2:00pm–3:00pm, Monday 16 March 2020
Where: Carey Training, 228–230 Grange Road, Flinders Park
The 6-week program runs 8.00am—3.00pm, Monday to Friday, from Monday 23 March 2020 to Friday 1 May 2020.
Training is at the Carey Training Live training site at Lot 119 Ocean Steamers Road, Port Adelaide.
