The 168 Prospect Road, Prospect renewal project is part of the state government's Renewing Our Streets and Suburbs initiative, which is in the process of renewing up to 4500 pre-1968 South Australian Housing Trust properties within a 10 kilometre radius of the CBD by 2020.
Renewal SA's key project objective for the site is to maximise the number of houses that meet the government's Affordable Housing Program.
In addition, Renewal SA aims to seek a development that:
represents good urban design, making efficient use of the site and achieving increased density that integrates successfully with the surrounding neighbourhood
delivers well-designed contemporary housing, demonstrating energy efficiency outcomes and affordable living opportunities for the residents.
Gamma Illumination has been appointed as the successful builder following a public expression of interest process to purchase and redevelop the site at 168 Prospect Road, Prospect.
In December 2016, Renewal SA invited local residents near to the property to attend a drop-in session to view the proposed plans and provide comments for consideration by the State Coordinator General as part of the planning approval process.
Feedback gathered from the community drop-in session and the written submission received from the community have been compiled into an engagement report (download right or below), which will be considered by the State Coordinator General as part of the planning approval process.
