Renewal SA is the custodian of a portfolio of diverse property holdings across South Australia, managing land assets for future strategic development. The role of Asset Manager plays a critical role in implementing asset management strategies across our commercial and industrial properties.
As our Asset Manager transitions to retirement, this is a great opportunity for you to join our team and have several months to learn and grow into the role.
Reporting to the Senior Asset Manager, you will work across a range of land assets, helping to maximise their value and performance. This will include preparing and contributing to feasibility studies to assess proposed land use strategies.
As the Asset Manager, you will be responsible for lease renegotiations, rent reviews and new lettings strategies and managing various commercial / industrial properties. You will also coordinate and liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders including project teams, other government agencies, contractors and suppliers.

This is an important role within Renewal SA, and as such we are seeking someone with a great ability to think strategically and creatively, while also staying organised in managing a portfolio of assets.
Given the number of stakeholders you will be working with, you will need the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both in person and in writing, you are the person who works hard to create best outcomes for all parties where possible, keeping an eye on Renewal SA’s vision to create the best economic outcomes for the State of South Australia.
We ask that you have demonstrated experience in commercial property management, lease negotiation, project management of minor capital works and meeting timelines and budgets. We will also look for your ability to present complex issues and findings, and to find a way to communicate concisely and strategically.
Experience in asset management, property valuation, commercial property management and/or a leasing role will give you the tools you need to succeed in this role. Your skills will also ideally be supported by tertiary qualifications in Property, Valuation, or a related field.
