Placemaking

We identify and facilitate a range of activities that contribute to the desired identity, character and essence of the places we build so that they promote people's health, happiness and wellbeing.

Placemaking

Placemaking is a people-centred approach to developing public and non-public spaces. It is about discovering the needs and aspirations of those who live, work and play in a particular place and creating a common vision for it.

Placemaking builds on a community’s assets, their inspiration and participation, creating and shaping good spaces that promote people’s health, happiness and wellbeing.

The character and essence of a location informs and shapes everything we will do to make it a great place in which to live, work, play and visit – and invest. We aim to strengthen and expand both the intangible (the feel and vibe) as well as the tangible (the built form and activities).

Our placemaking activities are carried out in close collaboration with community groups which include local businesses and residents. We use a framework that guides us and as our urban renewal efforts unfold and evolve, so do our actions and initiatives.
